Ottawa Lawyers Feed the Hungry The Ottawa Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program partners with the Ottawa Mission to put on meals for Ottawa's most vulnerable residents. Meals are served on the third and fourth Thursday of each month at the Ottawa Mission, located at 35 Waller Street, between the hours of 3:00 – 5:00 P.M.

This important year-round meal program, providing more than 5,000 meals a year, is made possible thanks to generous donors and committed volunteers.

We look forward to working with you and feeding the hungry citizens of Ottawa!

Volunteers

Volunteer serving food A rotating complement of 20 lawyers, articling students, and judges serve meals with help and support from Ottawa Mission kitchen staff and volunteers.

Volunteer relationship with the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program
The relationship between volunteers and the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program (the Program) does not create a legally binding contract. The Program embraces volunteerism on the understanding that volunteer services are received at its sole discretion, and that any volunteer’s relationship with the Program may be terminated by either side at any time for any reason.

Ottawa Little Theatre

Lawyers and police in Ottawa will be acting together for a very worthy cause in February 2016.
Members of Ottawa’s Legal community and representatives from the Ottawa Police Service are coming together to perform the newest play by lawyer Ian Stauffer from February 3 to 6, 2016, at the Ottawa Little Theatre.  The event is a fundraiser for the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program at the Ottawa Mission.
The Ottawa Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program partners with the Ottawa Mission to provide meals for Ottawa’s most vulnerable residents.  Legal community members come together every month to volunteer.
The latest comedy by Stauffer, called A New Paradise, will take the audience on a voyage – not only to the future of law firms, but the world.
This popular fundraiser was nearly sold out in 2013. Get your tickets early so you don’t miss it.  Matinee and evening performances are offered. The show will be held at the Ottawa Little Theatre on February 3rd through February 6th. Ticket information to follow.
Law firms, organizations or individuals can make a significant contribution by sponsoring the event. Sponsors can choose from three sponsorship levels:

  • Platinum - $5,000
  • Gold - $3,000
  • Silver - $2,000
  • Bronze - $1,000

Still Looking for Paradise 2013

The Law Society Foundation would like to thank the comedy show participants and sponsors for their support of Still Looking for Paradise show held at the Ottawa Little Theatre from November 6th to 9th in 2013. The show raised approximately $47,000 netting $38,000 for the Program after expenses. The Ottawa Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program is possible due to your generosity.
